CHAN CHICH LODGE

A frontier of wildlife, history and discovery

Few lodges in Central America occupy a setting as remarkable as Chan Chich.

Located deep within a vast private reserve near the border with Mexico and Guatemala, the property sits in one of Belize’s most important wildlife corridors. Jaguars, tapirs, howler monkeys and hundreds of bird species inhabit the surrounding forests, creating an experience that feels more akin to an African safari than a traditional rainforest lodge.

The lodge itself was built around an ancient Maya plaza, allowing guests to experience both the natural and cultural heritage of the region simultaneously. Every excursion reveals a different aspect of this extraordinary environment, from wildlife tracking and birdwatching to archaeological exploration.

The atmosphere is adventurous yet comfortable, offering access to one of the most remote and biodiverse regions in Central America.
